MUMBAI: Fugitive terrorist Dawood Ibrahim has married a second time, this time a Pakistani Pathan woman, and has done so by falsely claiming that he had divorced his first wife, Mehjabeen, a recent NIA chargesheet in a terror-funding case quoted his nephew as saying.

"Dawood Ibrahim shows that he had done divers (sic) with his first wife, but the fact is it's wrong," said Alishah Parkar, 30.Parkar, the city-based son of Haseena Parkar, Dawood's sister who has died, said he met Mehjabeen in Dubai in June 2022 on a business trip.Asked about Dawood's current location, Parkar, who has a real estate business in Dubai, said: "...at present, Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar...

Another daughter is married to the grandson of "Seth Abid, smuggler of Pakistan", and his only son is also married into the same family.Parkar described Dawood's first wife Mehjabeen as caring, who always stays in touch with all relatives.

She calls his wife on festivals over WhatsApp, he added.Alishah had given a similar statement to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in its money laundering case against former state minister and NCP leader Nawab Malik and others.

Haseena Parkar was named in the case.

"I heard from various sources and family that Dawood Ibrahim is in Karachi, Pakistan.

I have also to state that occasionally, that is, Eid, Diwali and other festive occasions, Mrs Mehjabeen Dawood Ibrahim...is in touch with my wife and my sisters," Alishah had said before the ED.Before the NIA, Alishah also gave information about all of Dawood's siblings-his six brothers and five sisters.

He said among Dawood's brothers, Sabir Kaskar died in 1983-84 in a gang war in the city, Noora Ibrahim died in Pakistan about 7-8 years ago.

"Iqbal Ibrahim Kaskar is in Thane jail since the last 5 years," he added.

His other maternal uncle, Anees Ibrahim (wanted in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case along with Dawood), and family reside in Pakistan.Among Dawood's sisters, Alishah said Zaitun is married to Hamid Antulay.

"Hamid Antulay was accused in a CBI case and he owns the Manikchand agency in Dubai."Antulay is a wanted accused in a case where gutka baron J M Joshi, Farukh Mansuri, a 1993 Mumbai blast accused, and Jamiruddin Ansari were convicted and sentenced to 10 years' rigorous imprisonment last week.

They were accused of being part of an organised crime syndicate that was setting up gutka manufacturing units in Karachi for Dawood and Anees.In the NIA's chargesheet, Dawood, close aide Chhota Shakeel, Shakeel's brother-in-law Mohammad Salim Qureshi alias Salim Fruit, Arif Shaikh and Shabbir Shaikh have been named.The last three have been arrested.The NIA has alleged that Dawood and Shakeel sent Rs 25 lakh in cash from Pakistan via Dubai to Surat and then to Mumbai through hawala channels to Arif Shaikh and his brother Shabbir Shaikh for "commission of terrorist activities and committing big sensational incidents in (the) Mumbai area".The NIA's chargesheet had said that in the last four years, a total of about Rs 12-13 crore has been sent to the city.
