With the 18th G20 summit to be held in Delhi on September 9 and 10 on the horizon, the Delhi traffic police has issued a traffic advisory for public convenience and smooth navigation during the two days.

The summit will be attended by leaders of the world's 20 largest economies.The traffic advisory has been issued to ensure smooth traffic flow and security during the G20 summit.

The Delhi Traffic Police has appealed to the public to cooperate with the authorities and follow the traffic rules.

It has also appealed to commuters in Delhi to make maximum use of the metro network and avoid road transport.Volvo C40 Recharge First Drive Review: Desirable but practical? | TOI AutoAs per the guidelines issued by the Delhi traffic police, from 5:00 AM on 8th September to 11:59 PM 10th September, the entirety of New Delhi District will be designated as "Controlled Zone-I." However, local residents, authorized vehicles, and emergency vehicles can travel on the road network within New Delhi District.During the above-mentioned time period, only legitimate residents, authorized vehicles, emergency vehicles, and vehicles heading to the Airport, Old Delhi, and New Delhi Railway Stations are allowed on roads beyond Ring Road towards New Delhi District.The entries of HGVs (Heavy Goods Vehicles), MGVs (Medium Goods Vehicles), and LGVs (Light Goods Vehicles) will be prohibited, although, goods vehicles transporting essential commodities such as milk, vegetables, fruits, medical supplies, etc with valid 'No Entry Permissions' will be permitted to enter Delhi.Taxis and TSRs (Three-wheeler Scooters Rickshaws) are permitted to operate on the road network outside New Delhi District.

However, taxis carrying residents and tourists with valid hotel bookings within New Delhi District can operate within that area.Vehicles not destined for Delhi must use Eastern - Western Peripheral Expressways or alternative routes.

They are prohibited from entering Delhi.

Further, general traffic and buses that are already present in Delhi can operate on Ring Road and roads beyond it towards the Delhi borders.

Although, exit from Delhi is allowed for these buses.Interstate buses will also receive entry into Delhi, with their final stops designated on the Ring Road.
