KATHMANDU, JANUARY 26The mountainous region of Taplejung district has been blanketed with snow.

According to locals, the important shrine in Taplejung, Pathivara, witnessed snowfall on Friday. Yangla, situated at the highest altitude of 4,200 meters in the district, also received snow. Likewise, the border areas of Sankhuwasabha and Tehrathum districts such as Tinjure, Milke, and Jaljale also encountered snowfall.

Although the snowfall brought brutal cold, farmers expressed relief that the winter crops would thrive. .
