India seek 'intent' to combat SA speed kings

India seek 'intent' to combat SA speed kings

You can't just stand there and take whatever is coming your way and not have intent," Kohli said after his team were beaten by 72 runs in the first Test in Cape Town.

You might get out but it's important to keep coming at the bowler and making them feel, 'if you make an error I am going to score.

With conditions at Centurion again likely to favour fast bowling, the problem for India is not just how they should execute Kohli's strategy -- but who should do it.

No Indian top-order batsman made more than 28 in either innings in Cape Town. The only two scores above 30 were 93 by Hardik Pandya in the first innings and 37 by Ravichandran Ashwin in the second.

Pandya and Ashwin were batting at number seven and eight respectively, which suggests India have enough depth in their batting order -- if their top-order players can get themselves through the new ball.

At least two batting positions will be debated as the tourists seek a way to play themselves back into the three-Test series.

Left-handed opener Shikhar Dhawan fell to short-pitched deliveries in both innings and there is an argument for Lokesh Rahul to take his place, while Ajinkya Rahane must be a contender to replace Rohit Sharma at number five.

Kohli said the selection for Cape Town was based on form. Rahane had a dismal recent series against Sri Lanka but has shown the ability to score runs away from home.

On India's 2013/14 tour of South Africa Rahane scored 47, 15, 51 not out and 96 in the two Test matches and looked one of the best-equipped Indian batsmen against pace.

South Africa, meanwhile, look set to once again pick a four-pronged pace attack, although they have to replace the injured Dale Steyn.

There are three candidates -- two out-and-out pace specialists in Duanne Olivier and Lungi Ngidi or Chris Morris who has batting skills as well as the ability to bowl at more than 140 kmh.

Both teams showed batting fragility in Cape Town, with India's pace bowlers showing they too could take advantage of helpful conditions.

AB de Villiers' aggression in innings of 65 and 35 was a key factor for South Africa. It is that sort of intent that both teams will be seeking in what promises to be another action-paced Test.

South Africa: Faf du Plessis (capt), Dean Elgar, Aiden Markram, Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers, Quinton de Kock, Vernon Philander, Chris Morris or Duanne Olivier or Lungi Ngidi, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Morne Morkel.

India: Virat Kohli (capt), Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan or Lokesh Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Rohit Sharma or Ajinkya Rahane, Hardik Pandya, Wriddhiman Saha, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania reviews

Authors: Ecroaker. com Boosters.

Dhawan and Bhatt are surrounded by a bunch of able actors, all of whom are given things to do. Of special note is a terrific act by Sahil Vaid as the Hero’s Best Friend, who bids fair to be the best part of the film. Apart, of course from Alia Bhatt, who manages to pull off a pitch-perfect performance as the ‘dulhaniya’ with a mind and will of her own. here.

If you're just looking to have a good laugh and enjoy small-town humour, Badrinath Ki Dulhania will not disappoint. But if you're looking for food for thought, the film might just not live up to your expectations. here.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is a tricky film to unequivocally praise or damn. There’s a frankness to its discussions of dowry and the diminishing of women’s rights after marriage that’s heartening to see in a mainstream film. he other hand, there isn’t enough dramatic heft in it to justify the kidnapping-as-plot-device sequence or the threats of honour killing that issue from Badri’s father. here.

You should definitely go and watch the movie, at least once. The best part is how the movie seamlessly gives you a message even though it is light and fun. here.

Movie reviews: Judwaa 2

Authors: Ecroaker. com Boosters.

Here's what the critics are saying about Judwaa 2, starring Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Taapsee Pannu, Rajpal Yadav, Anupam Kher, Upasana Singh, Pavan Malhotra, Zakir Hussain, Vivan Bhatena.

For those who do not remember the original, here’s a little recap. Prem and Raj (Varun, doing a double) are twins separated at birth. One grows up as a Ganapati Bappa loving tapori, who always wins in a scrum; the other is a piano-playing, ‘chashma’-wearing ‘seedha-saadha’ type who can’t raise his fists even. s, the girls they romance (Fernandez, Pannu), and the large supporting cast comprising ‘bachpan-mein-bichade’ mom-dad, best friends, villains, sidekicks all fetch up in London town, and go round and round till the big reveal. here.

In its attempt to pass itself off as an old-fashioned laugh riot, the film dishes out double doses of frivolity from start to finish. But no matter how hard it tries, it is unlikely to have you doubling over in the aisles with joy. The film's labored efforts to generate mirth come unstuck at every turn because the writing borders on the asinine. here.

David Dhawan has tried to be faithful to the plot, for the most part. Some of it works, much of it doesn't. For instance, those who have watched the original Judwaa will remember the two policemen, played by Anupam Kher and Satish Shah, who were on the hunt for Raja. here.

Varun-Natasha to tie the knot?

Authors: Ecroaker. com Boosters.

Varun Dhawan fans might have some major heartbreak in store. If a report in Deccan Chronicle is to be believed, Varun might be a married man by mid-2018.

The Judwaa 2 actor recently moved out of his parents' house to a plush apartment. Sources close to the Dhawan family told the publication that Varun is in all set to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal, and his move to the new house is a step towards the same.

Till recently, Varun swore he would never move out of his parents' home. But Natasha made it clear that she wanted her own home with Varun after marriage. For a while, they even separated over the issue. But the actor gave in and moved into his own place. He still lives close to his parents' house," a family friend revealed.

Incidentally, when Varun was asked on a podcast earlier this year if there would be wedding bells in the near future, he said, "Honestly, we have not thought that much ahead. Sometimes in life, when you find someone and that connection is formed, then everything else that you thought was the be-all and end-all of life, doesn't actually matter.

On the work front, Varun will be seen next in Shoojit Sircar's October. He is currently prepping for Sui Dhaaga - Made in India, in which he will be paired opposite Anushka Sharma. The film, which will go on floors next month, is scheduled to release on Gandhi Jayanti 2018.
