Apple seems to have its eyes on the road (map) for iPhone processors

TSMC is now Appleprimary processor manufacturing partner, churning out 7-nanometer (nm) A13 chips for iPhones & and it may be producing 3nm chips for iPhones by 2023.

Whatin a nanometer?

A nanometer is one billionth of a meter. Itthe unit of measurement used to show the distance between the transistors that comprise the processor.The smaller the number of nanometers the higher the number of transistors you can squeeze onto one chip.

Memory-Lane Monday: Please tell me his name wasn&t Jones

Pilot fish and his help desk colleagues do a lot of password resets and have learned that itbest to sympathize with the callers and normalize forgetting those strings of letters, numbers and symbols. It can happen to anybody is the message.

But some forgetfulness is more normal than others, finds fish, who told one user, &I'm going to reset your password to your last name, with the first letter capitalized.&

Reports fish: &He said, ‘Wait a minute. Let me get a pencil and paper to write that down.

&I then spelled his last name for him and reminded him to capitalize the first letter. He thanked me and hung up the phone.

&Surreal doesn&t even begin to describe how this felt!&

Mastercard partners on blockchain-based food supply chain

Mastercard is partnering with food track-and-trace software provider Envisible to create a blockchain-based supply chain platform to help supermarkets trace the origin of seafood.

Envisible's new Wholechain traceability system will be powered by Mastercard's blockchain-based Provenance service; it's designed to give grocery partners more insight into the ethical sourcing and environmental compliance of the seafood sold at their stores.

Topco's member grocery chains, starting with Food City, will be the first to use the supply chain ledger. The first of several species to be tracked will be salmon, cod and shrimp.
