With this the Mumbai to Goa train journey will now take less than 8 hours in non-monsoon months.
The semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express is an all air-conditioned chair car service.
The 8 coach train has 7 AC chair cars and 1 Executive chair car coaches.

It has 7 AC chair car coaches and 1 Executive Chair Car coach.</p>lt;p>The AC Chair car with seats in the 3 by 2 configuration can seat 78 passengers.
It has standard features such as reclining seats with armrest, mobile - laptop charging points, magazine holder, foot rest and snack table.</p>lt;p>The Executive Chair can seat 52 passengers and has special seats with 180 degrees rotating feature, better reclining and snack tables hidden in the arm rest.</p>lt;p>The train has aircraft style bio-vacuum toilets with touch-free sensor based fittings.
One coach at each end of the train has a touch-based divyang friendly toilet and a facility to park wheelchairs.</p>lt;p>The train has automatic entry and exit doors.
It also boasts of automatic sliding doors for interconnectivity between coaches.</p>lt;p>The semi-high speed train has the KAVACH anti train collision system.
It has emergency windows, emergency lighting, 4 platform side cameras, better fire detection and suppression system and better flood proofing for underslung equipment.</p>lt;p>Train number 22229/22230 CSMT-Madgaon-CSMT Vande Bharat Express will depart from Mumbai at 5:25 AM to reach Goa at 1:10 PM during the non-monsoon seasons.
On the return journey it will depart at 2:40 to reach Mumbai at 10:25 PM.</p>lt;p>Train number 22229/22230 CSMT-Madgaon-CSMT Vande Bharat Express will have a different time table during the monsoon months, taking more time due to speed restrictions on the section.

Hence, the Vande Bharat Express with a journey time of 7 hours and 45 minutes will save passengers opting for it over an hour of travel time.
The 22229/22230 CSMT-Madgaon-CSMT Vande Bharat Express will run all days of the week except Friday.
However, due to speed restrictions on Konkan railway during the monsoon months, the train will take longer.
In the monsoon season, the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express will take over 10 hours for the trip and hence will run on alternate days in each direction.
