The police have made more than 2,000 arrests and impounded large consignments of drugs during a 24-hour special operation conducted on Monday (Dec.18).Accordingly, a total of 2,166 individuals have been placed under arrest, while 1.3kg of heroin, 7kg of cannabis and 1,075 narcotic pills have been seized, the Public Security Ministry said in a statement.
