Khapung designated Karki to the CMs post based on Article 168 (2) of the constitution. BIRATNAGAR, JANUARY 8Province 1 Governor Parshuram Khapung selected CPN-UMLs Hikmat Kumar Karki as the chief minister of Province 1 this evening.

Karki is the UMLs Province 1 Parliamentary Party leader.
